Best teenage skincare for flawless skin | Make your skin healthy
In this blog, we are going to discuss the best teenage skincare for flawless skin.
Before dive into the best teenage skincare, the question often asked is:
Do teenagers really need skincare?
The answer is yes. Teenage is the age when you get a lot of skin problems due to hormonal changes in your body. Most of the teenagers experience acne at this age and we all know how difficult it is to go to school or college with a lot of acne on your face. Most of us hide our acne with makeup and sometimes we choose not to go outside just to save ourselves from being asked “what happened to your skin?”. You get angry, frustrated and worried about your skin, you can’t help but panic a lot.
Teen acne is very normal and don’t worry, you will get over it soon. Our skin cell turnover time varies with age. For a teenager it takes around 21-28 days. That is why teen skin heals fast.
Skincare is a part of taking care of yourself. You may not see results of your skincare right away, it takes time and when you start to see improvement on your skin, it will be worth it. It is true that teen skin produces more collagen which maintains the elasticity of your skin. A little extra care will support the process.
Now we are going to divide the skincare routine in two parts. Here are the steps for the best teenage skincare routine.
Morning skincare routine in 3 simple steps
- Cleanser – If you have dry skin then you don’t have to use a cleanser, just normal water is fine. If you still want to use one then go for a hydrating cleanser. For oily skin types, during night time, your skin tends to produce excess sebum and oil. So, you need a cleanser to remove those.
- Use your moisturizer– You can skip your serums in this step. Just use a hydrating moisturizer to keep your skin plum and healthy. Whether you have dry skin, oily skin or combination skin you should use a moisturizer.
- Use sunscreen– This is the most important part of your morning skincare routine. Why is it so important? As a teenager you tend to go outdoors very often and most of the skin damages happens due to the sunrays. The UV rays are very damaging to the skin which is why you need to protect your skin. You should apply your SPF at least 20-30 minutes before you go outside. Even if you are indoors, if you have sunrays coming from your windows, apply your sunscreen.

After a long day all you want is refreshment. Your skin needs it too. Give your skin the nourishment that it needs.
- Cleansing- You need to wash your face properly to get rid of all the dirt and the sunscreen from your face. Sometimes cleansing one time is not enough so try double cleansing.
- Exfoliating- As a teenager you don’t really need an exfoliant because your skin produces collagen itself without any external help, your skin heals fast. But we all have different problems with our skin. Even as a teenager you can have acne because of the hormonal changes, so you can use products which have salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in it. Use it twice or thrice a week.
- Serum- Serums are a perfect way to start. As a teenager you have youthful, glowing skin. So, all you can do is give more attention to hydration. Use hydrating serums that have ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, aloe vera, glycerin. When you wash your face, you lose moisture from your skin. Using a product like that will give your skin the hydration and prevent water loss.
- Moisturizer- You need to lock the hydration of your serum with a moisturizer. It also helps to prevent your skin from dryness. Your skin wakes up looking active and healthy. Happy skin means happy you.
Note-
Since teen acne and teen skin problems are mostly hormonal, having a skincare routine does not guarantee anything. You have to be patient with your skin. Provide your skin the necessary care and time to heal. Also read my blog on: 3 acne ingredients that works best
